Bellerophon launched his career as the Two Year Old Park Harness winner at the prestigious New England Regional, then followed up the next year with an undefeated season that included the UPHA 3 Yr Old Park Harness Grand Championship and the World Champion Three Year Old Park Harness title. In 2008, his first year under saddle, Bellerophon's accolades included the Junior Park Saddle Championship at the Mid-Atlantic Show, harness wins at the Southern States Regional, a Reserve under saddle at New England and the Reserve World Champion Four Year Old Park Harness tricolor. He continues to be a force in the ring with his amateur owner on the lines.

A son of the incomparable HVK Bell Flaire, by Noble Flaire, Bellerophon's bottom line rivals that of many great breeding horses. His dam, Carmen Sandiego, is sired by Troutbrook Hallmark, sire of such grand show and breeding horses as Dancity Gracious Remark, Hyland Acres Obsession, Saralin In Excess, Heir of Fortune, Floralan Hialeah and Hi Sage Siempra. His second dam, Nikki Lee, is a maternal sister to the good producers Cy Don's Marleen (dam of Intrinsic Beauty) and Cy Don's Cynthia (dam of Pompp And Pazazz).

His first foals arrived in 2009 and include the Weanling Gala Reserve Grand Champion, U-NANIMOUS (out of World Champion producing Honeytree's Simply Unique, dam of WC LPS The Boogie Man), a very special filly out of park saddle champion Illicit Love, LPS BEAUDACIOUS, now owned by Cindy Fawcett, and ADC PEGA-SASS (out of LPS Not So Bad, by Pot of Gold and out of Honeytree's Simply Unique) the 2011 New York Regional Grand Champion Mare for Alex and Deborah Cojocar.

In 2010, he sired the colt SSL ULTIMATE DESIGN (out of Honeytree No Illusion), who bested a field of 23 to be the 2010 NY Morgan Breeders Sweepstakes Weanling Champion, RUNNING ON THE EDGE (out of Hail Mary), and WINTERSET LADY BELL (out of Winterset Beguiled Agin).

Most recently in 2011, he sired HOLESHOT (out of RWC Fair Catch) who was the NY Regional Futurity Weanling Grand Champion, ADC UNBRIDLED HOPE (a full sister to ADC Pega Sass), SSL Dynamic Design (out of Off-Sides), and a beautiful filly out of world champion producer City Limits.
